Back to school

“It’s that time of year again!  Kids and young adults are preparing to go back to school or college to enjoy another year of learning.  Be Smart and Save money on your budget knowing that you can make money on your old electronics.”

With so much to learn, students may not have thought about the old electronics tucked away in their closets, dressers or dorm rooms.  These electronics can include:

  • Laptops
  • Smart Phones
  • Tablets
  • Printers
  • Batteries
  • Video Games

We know it can be tough budgeting for the next school year, so why not recycle.  Recycling is a easy way to earn extra cash and a great incentive to get rid of old, outdated technologies.  Not only are you saving money, but you are being a sustainable steward to the environment.  In addition, there is the ability to earn extra cash to put towards other supplies and materials whether you are a student, parent, teacher or administrator.

We understand college can be very expensive. For college students in particular, think about common items found in dormitories like refrigerators, lamps to computer hard drives.  Even your old junk car!  These can also be recycled and turned into money for next year’s budget.

Don’t forget your home.  Believe it or not, household items ranging from bed frames, pots and pans and microwaves can also be recycled.

  • Coat Hangers
  • Exercise Equipment
  • Extension Cords
  • Fans
  • Mixers
  • Vacuum Cleaners

Please note:  Televisions and Computer Monitors are not acceptable recyclable items.
